War marginalizes 11 million displaced persons

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, announced in a statement before the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, on Wednesday, that the number of displaced persons in Sudan has exceeded the (11) million mark for the first time.

Grandi highlighted the Sudanese crisis after the number of forcibly displaced persons around the world reached (123) million people, which was exacerbated by the ongoing conflicts in Sudan and other regions.

International Migration Updates in the past weeks estimated the number of displaced persons in Sudan at (10,916,305) individuals.
