The Founder

Sabah Mohamed Al-Hassan

Nothing resembles the homeland
Except the revolutionary poems
That demanded freedom and justice
And predicted the gruesome event to top it all, in order for us to transform and win must be peace.

In a new development that accelerates the speed of the peace train to reach important stations, and weaves threads of hope in a future overshadowed by clouds of darkness, after every Sudanese leader played his true role. And confirmed his responsibly before God and the people that he was and still is contributing to the death of the Sudanese people and destroying this country, Abdullah Hamdok had a different role with another signature on the notebook of responsibility, and with a green pen on the white pages of peace, as the hands that shared rule and authority with him are no longer fit to be ambassadors for peace, because they are stained with the blood of the Sudanese people.

And to be the founder of the Republic of Peace in your country in order to establish a State of tolerance, brotherhood, love and staunching the bloodshed; is far more significant than being the founder of a new economic or democratic State as one of the countries whose people live in harmony and peace.

A delegation from the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “Tagadom” headed by former Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok, arrived in Britain to mobilize international support for stopping the war. The visit includes a meeting with the Deputy Leader of the House of Lords and Minister for Africa in the British government, Lord Ray Collins. In addition to another expanded meeting with a number of members of the House of Commons and the Lords from the Labor, Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties, led by the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the British House of Commons, Emily Thornberry.

There is no doubt in mind that the current situation in Sudan requires peace messengers who believe in the necessity of putting an end to this tragedy, especially since it has become the largest in a world that is now standing by watching the horrific violations committed by the parties to the conflict against civilians.

The Sudanese delegation stressed to the British government the necessity of putting forth efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to those affected by the war, to follow measures that lead to the protection of civilians, as well as the importance of coordinating efforts to reach a ceasefire and an urgent peaceful solution to the conflict.

Hamdok is filling the void of wise leadership that seeks to staunch the bloodshed in the presence of a military leadership that no longer cares about the lives of citizens, neither killing, nor rape, or hunger and displacement, in addition to the absence of a legitimate government in Port Sudan. It has no say or position in such international platforms.

Although the visit of Tagadom’s delegation came late, that doesn’t detract from its true value at a time when the citizen has become in need of voices calling for peace. Since the beginning of the war, government delegations have been traveling to conclude arms purchase deals and demand support so that the war can continue. Al-Burhan has traveled to more than one country, as have Agar, Gibril, and other ministers for the same purpose.

Hamdok’s presence on important international stages confirms the recognition of these countries of the civilian government, despite the fact that it was subjected to the worst types of cowardly treachery by the Military, when it was removed by force and weapons.

The development is also considered one of the indications and meanings that reveal the features of the political future supported by major countries and the belief in the importance and necessity of the return of civilian rule in the post-war period. This serves the interests of international efforts aimed at restoring this path.

As for the remnants of the defunct regime, they only have to watch from a distance Hamdok’s gestures of peace and farewell, upon his arrival and departure, with a hand that isn’t stained with blood and the money of the Sudanese people, erecting the mourning marquee for three days. Hamdok’s visit to Britain in his capacity as the former Prime Minister is a legalized survey of the existence of the government that has turned into a percussionist for the continuation of the war, despite witnessing the death of its people on a daily basis, either by bullets, or lack of food and medicine.

What the visit entails in terms of dimensions is that there is an international direction and arrangement that confirms that Dr. Abdullah Hamdok is the man of the next stage following the achievement of peace, as long as he was and still is the man of peace during the war.

The state of anger and weeping witnessed in Al-Kizani platforms on social media, criticizing and disparaging the visit, is a natural state because they see that the man from whom power was taken away by force is now taking away the government’s status and legitimacy, without needing to shed a single drop of blood. This is the reason behind the state of hysteria and madness as the natural side effects afflicting the remnants after every step Hamdok takes. The brave seek peace, and only cowards hide behind weapons. Dialogue is the language of the wise and rational. The reckless fool is the one who believes that violence will settle the issue for him.
