Al Burhan and Islamists’ Scheme Dismantling and
dividing Sudan through an ethnic and tribal war
Ali Ahmed
The Army Commander-in-Chief, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan is actively pushing the country towards tribal war, just like his organization that obeys his orders, the “National Congress”, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood (the Islamists), which has been inciting day and night, working hard and persistently to transform the ongoing war into an ethnic conflict that leaves nothing behind, so they can implement the scheme to divide Sudan into small regional or tribal Statelets that have no power or strength, starting with the separation of South Sudan, then igniting the war in Khartoum, expanding its radius and turning it into a tribal war, so that the Islamists, who were entrusted by the closer and distant intelligence circles with the task of tearing the country apart, are able to do so through the famous “Hamdi Triangle” plan, whose management they have now left to the so-called River and Sea Organization.
Al-Burhan’s speech in Al-Butana the other day, at the funeral of Brig. Gen. Ahmed Sha’aldin, the commander of Al-Butana sector – an officer in the Sudanese Army who entered this war as a representative of the Army, and not a representative of the ancient Shukria tribe that has nothing to do with the war of Al-Kizan. Unfortunately, his speech at the funeral was directed at the tribe, as if Sha’aldin was fighting in its name, as if Abuagla Keikal was representing it, whether when he was affiliated with the Army and its creation, when he joined the Rapid Support Forces, or when he returned to the Army’s ranks again!
The fierce battles that took place between the Rapid Support Forces on the one hand, and the Army and Al-Kizan militias on the other hand in Tamboul and East of Al-Jazeera after the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces in Al-Jazeera state, Abuagla Keikal, announced his return again to the (Kizani) Army militias, weren’t on an ethnic or tribal basis, because when the man joined (the RSF), he didn’t join it as a representative of his tribe, and when he left it, he didn’t do so on its behalf. Therefore, the battles that took place there were a natural result of “Keikal” joining the Army; And what will result from that in terms of military conditions on the ground.
From a strategic and tactical military standpoint, the Rapid Support Forces were obliged to expel “Keikal’s” group from the area, declare war on it and pursue it, which is normal in this case. We hope that the Rapid Support Forces will stand within these borders and won’t be dragged into committing crimes in a similar fashion to the Army that kills civilians in Darfur under the pretext of them being Social Incubators, and thus adhere to the scheme of the Islamists and Al-Burhan that aims to turn the ongoing war into a tribal and ethnic war, a scheme that we hope the Rapid Support Forces will be aware of!
Therefore, neither the war in Tamboul and East of Al-Jazeera was on a tribal basis, nor the death of Brig. Gen. Ahmed Sha’aldin, because –as we mentioned previously– he wasn’t a representative of the Shukria Nazirate when he negotiated with “Keikal”, and he wasn’t a representative of it when his forces stormed the town of Tamboul and declared control over it. He wasn’t leading a tribal Army when he fought his last battle in which he was killed, but rather he was leading soldiers affiliated with the Sudanese Army, right?!
Then, why did Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan speak at Sha’aldin’s funeral about his intention to arm the Shukria tribe, the largest Arab tribe in eastern Sudan and Al-Butana Plain ? That is, if we disregard the statement of the Nazir of Shukria tribe; Ahmed Mohamed Hamad Abu-Sin, in which he called on the members of his tribe (his subjects) to bear arms and fight alongside the Armed Forces.
Tribal Nazirs don’t typically make political or military decisions, but rather intervene in specific situations as a result of specific circumstances, and no major representation result from such actions as those caused by the decision of Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan who announced his intention to arm the Shukria tribe, which represents a deviation in the course of the war and its transformation from a war between military forces and supporting armed battalions against the Rapid Support Forces, to an ethnic conflict and civil war; which ultimately leads to prolonging the conflict and destroying the social fabric in the country, dividing it into failed Statelets run by warlords, Islamists and tribal terrorist organizations, representing an existential threat to all countries in the region.
The biggest threat to the unity and future of the country currently is the presence of Al-Kizan and their representative Al-Burhan, who ignited this war on April 15th of last year in order to come to power, and when they failed in their quest, here they are, wanting to turn it into an ethnic and racial war that will tear Sudan apart and take ot back to the primitive ages of ignorance. They rule (Dahess) and leave the rest of Sudan (barren) for others, and how impossible that would be!
