The Egyptian Disastrous Illusion

Shawgi Badri

From the era of the pharaohs until today, Egyptian people, have never enjoyed freedom and democracy. One pharaoh goes only to be replaced by a worse pharaoh. Nasser, after completing his pyramid, the Aswan High Dam, wanted the Arabs to immortalize him as an invincible hero. His selfishness got the Arabs in trouble and done Zionism the greatest service. He lost the West Bank, Jerusalem, as well as the Sinai Peninsula, which Egypt still doesn’t have full control over today. Nasser was a dreamer who didn’t know the outside world and couldn’t read the book of world politics.

Bourguiba, who resided in the West as a lawyer in Paris, told him… Israel was created to stay, accept the present. Nasser, as usual, let his dogs loose and they tore Bourguiba’s flesh apart, describing him, as per usual, with everything they used to describe the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf States today. Nasser wanted to immortalize himself as a strong pharaoh.

Sadat wanted to immortalize his name through the crossing and victory play. Then he went to Israel and signed the agreement. He was later assassinated while surrounded by his soldiers, guards, and security. Hosni Mubarak wanted to make Egypt a peer of Europe because of his inferiority complex, however, you cannot fly without wings. He acted arrogantly towards the Egyptian people and wanted to make his son the next pharaoh. Which landed him on a bed in court.

Al-Sisi practiced brutality, insults and contempt for the Egyptian people, he began to issue statements warning anyone who thinks of approaching his position of leadership and stating; I will wipe them off the face of the earth – just like a full-fledged pharaoh. However, the insults he directed at the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Gulf States, through his statements, publications, or other means exceed all imagination of decadence. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia and some countries are the ones who made a mistake in filling the pockets of Al-Sisi, his Army and his Security Service with billions that Al-Sisi considered a tribute that ought to be paid to Egypt.

They allied with Al-Sisi against the Egyptian people who were struggling for a loaf of bread, treatment and housing, while al-Sisi’s henchmen are basking in luxury. The Egyptian people will rid themselves of Al-Sisi and whoever is stronger than Al-Sisi. The people always win.

The problem is that numerous segments of the Egyptian society are absent, submissive or unaware. They are manipulated into believing they are unique, that Egypt is the center of the universe and the Egyptians provide a great service to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf countries and even the West because they are God’s chosen people. That’s why it’s hard to convince Egyptians that the world has changed and they don’t mean much to the world with their current situation.

Most Egyptians refuse to accept the truth. Even Heikal’s statements – who was right this time, even though he is a liar… he told them… Egypt isn’t the origin of civilization and hasn’t provided much in the grand scheme of things.

When Heikal stated that the Pharaonic civilization was confined to the unseen and matters beyond death, therefore it focused on building tombs such as the pyramids, mummification and temples. Unlike the Roman and Greek civilizations that focused on theaters and sports stadiums, producing great philosophers, writers, poets and scientists for the world. When Heikal made that statement, the media in Egypt turned against him and the worst accusations were thrown his way… the traitor… senile… etc. The Egyptians believe that theirs is the greatest civilization in the world.

The Turks ruled the world and failed to provide tangible contributions to literature, poetry, science, culture and inventions. What they have introduced to the world is the brutal war machine of looting, killing, rape, slavery, hoarding money and then more money by all means. The Turks are still chewing on their greatness, history and Sovereignty over the world. That is the reason why they’re the most backward European country today.

Nearly two decades ago I wrote an article entitled (Egyptian Tribulations). The Egyptian tribulations continue and Egyptians are encroaching on the Sudanese driven by stupidity and the false sense of superiority. May God heal our brothers in the North of the poor Valley!!
