Mohamed Esmat: Civil and Military Institutions are a State within the Islamic Movement State
The head of the Democratic Unionist Party, Mohamed Esmat Yahya, stated in a tweet on the “X” platform that the course of the war has proven that the country’s civil and military institutions are a “State within a State” of the Islamic Movement and its fronts.
Since mid-April 2023, the Sudanese Army and the “Rapid Support Forces” have been waging a war that has left more than (20,000) dead and nearly (10) million displaced and refugees, according to the United Nations.
International calls to end the war are gaining momentum in order to spare Sudan a humanitarian catastrophe that has begun to push millions to death and famine due to food shortages resulting from the ongoing conflict that has extended to (13) out of Sudan’s (18) states.
