Light in the Darkness: Emergency Rooms nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

The difficulties of the Civil Resistance' return

Yasser Arman

In a phone call with a number of friends in Oslo, the Norwegian capital, I learned that the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) had nominated the Sudanese Emergency Rooms on a list for the Nobel Peace Prize, which included important organizations such as (UNRWA), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), (UNESCO), and the European Council. This historic nomination of the Emergency Rooms comes in light of a war directed against the December Revolution. The Emergency Rooms include the men and women of the December revolution (the Decemberists).

The importance of the nomination comes in light of the war crimes committed against the Resistance Committees, as well as the arrest and rape of activists throughout Sudan!

In light of the dispersion of the political Army of the revolution by emptying the countryside and cities of their inhabitants and the terrorism practiced against the entirety of the civil forces.

The year (1989), marked the initiation of an attempt to assassinate the political movement and civil society by driving a nail into the head of the doctor, civil resistance fighter, and unionist martyr Dr. Ali Fadl; A comprehensive resistance to the fascism of the Salvation (Inqaz) regime began, both civil and armed, and the martyr Dr. John Garang, along with many others, deserve to receive the Salvation (Inqaz) Resistance Award with merit, as he led the armed resistance with a clear intellectual and political vision and inflicted notable defeats on the Salvation (Inqaz) regime and its fascism, which was reflected in the millions receiving him in the Green Square in honor of his firm stance in opposing fascism. He enjoyed the widest gathering in his reception from the masses, the impoverished of the cities and countryside, so congratulations to Garang.

This nomination for the Emergency Rooms comes in light of the biggest challenge to the return of the civil resistance, as there is an ongoing attempt in this war to erase the memory of society and the State, fragment society and civil forces, and transform the war into an ethnic and geographical war as well as incite the Sudanese components against one another.

In this regard, however, the Islamists deserve the fascism award with merit, while the Emergency Rooms, the legitimate offspring of the December revolution and its defensive tactics throughout the war, deserve the Nobel Prize with merit.

We ought to study the experiences of Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Yemen and Syria, as this war threatens the State and the revolution.

Addressing the humanitarian disaster and protecting civilians is the essence of the Emergency Rooms’ work, which is closely linked to the December Revolution and a form of resistance. Nominating Emergency Rooms and hoping for them to win the Nobel Prize is an honor for the December Revolution and its living forces and a call to unify the forces of revolution and change in a critical mass to defeat the forces of war in favor of the victory of the revolution, as war is the biggest conspiracy and venture against the December Revolution.

Mobilizing the active domestic forces initially along with the regional and international community is the path to a strategic victory for the December Revolution, apart from the fragile solutions and rewarding the forces of war and the remnants. We must carry out the broadest campaign to support the nomination of Emergency Rooms.

Glory to the forces of revolution..

Victory to the mass movement..

And the revolution is more lasting than war..
