Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed: We have special affection for General Daglo
and no ambitions in Sudan
American officials told the (New York Times) that the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, has no ambitions in Sudan and that the United Arab Emirates hasn’t supported any party to the current conflict. The officials added that “bin Zayed” has special affection and respect for General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Commander of the Rapid Support Forces.
The President of the United Arab Emirates is visiting the United States of America and has held important talks with the US President, Joe Biden that touched on the situation in Sudan.
The US President described the UAE as a key defense partner for the United States of America in the fight against terrorism in the region.
