Al-Burhan's greed are behind the war's continuation

Amani Al-Tawil, an expert at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies (ACPSS), stated that Egypt has strong relations with the Sudanese Military establishment and the Army Commander-in-Chief “Al-Burhan”, and is exerting pressure to end the conflict in Sudan, but is faced with two problems, the first of which is the Army’s weakness. The second is its alliances with the Armed Movements from the Darfur region and the Islamists from the former regime, which puts pressure on Al-Burhan in decision-making, in addition to General Al-Burhan’s political ambition in power.
