Sandal demands handover of Al-Bashir and rest of those wanted by ICC

The head of the breakaway faction of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Suleiman Sandal, stated that the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission’s recommendation to deploy international forces to protect civilians and expand the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to include all of Sudan signifies a notable consideration from the international community to the ongoing bloody conflict, the humanitarian catastrophe and abandoning the culture of impunity, “Which has become a characteristic of the Sudanese Judicial System,” as he described it.
Suleiman Sandal added in a tweet on the “X” platform: “We would like to reiterate the need for the International Criminal Court to be active in demanding the handover of Omar Al-Bashir, Ahmed Haroun, and Abdul-Rahim Mohammed Hussein.”
