RSF Commander: Al-Burhan is looking for false hope
and to claim illusory legitimacy
The Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, denounced the appearance of the Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, at the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), looking for a false hope for him and the Islamic Movement to change the course of reality, turn back the clock, and restore the State of corruption, favoritism, and empowerment.
He stated in a tweet on his account on the “X” platform: “Al-Burhan and the Islamic Movement that hides behind the Armed Forces are looking for hope, even if false, to change the well-known reality of them igniting the 15th of April war, aiming to turn back the clock and restore the State of corruption, favoritism, and empowerment.”
The Commander of the Rapid Support Forces added: “Al-Burhan, the coup leader of the Islamic Movement forces, sought to exploit his presence at the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit to claim illusory legitimacy, and present an empty speech full of lies and allegations that lack credibility, which he has been tirelessly repeating without realizing that everyone is aware of the reality of the situation in Sudan.”
He stressed that the “Port Sudan Gang” is engaging in criminal behavior by killing and terrorizing innocent civilians, destroying the infrastructure, and prolonging the war to achieve the agenda and interests of the former regime, which is a behavior linked to destabilizing regional and international peace and security. ”
The RSF Commander pointed out that since the dawn of independence in our country, the Sudanese people have been deprived of living in peace, due to the violence practiced by the State against the Sudanese people who demand freedom and justice. He continued: “Therefore, more than ever, we need the international and regional community to redouble efforts that complements the efforts of the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese who aspire to freedom and democracy, to free our people from the cycle of violence and endless wars and to consolidate the foundations of peace and democracy.”
