Two women and a child dead in “Merowe” due to rains and floods

On Monday evening and Tuesday morning, the heavy rains and floods in the locality of “Merowe” resulted in the death of a woman and her child in the “Inqaz” neighborhood, after being electrocuted.

Another woman in “Nuri Al-Qalaa” died as a wall in the house collapsed. Two people in the same area suffered various fractures as a result of the collapse of their house.

Reports from “Merowe” indicate that the areas of “Asli Al-Qurair, Khor Al-Uqda and Al-Maqal” were exposed to torrential floods, and work is currently underway to estimate the losses. Reports also indicate that the eastern road of “Merowe” locality was cut off in several locations in “Al-Maqal, Awsali, Al-Uqda and Al-Qurair”.
