Army aviation bombs “Ed-Daein” with explosive barrels
On Sunday, the Army warplanes launched an aerial attack on “Ed-Daein”, the capital of East Darfur state. This is the second airstrike of its kind in less than a week on “Ed-Daein”.
Eyewitnesses told “Assayha” that they saw a military plane dropping explosive barrels on residential neighborhoods in “Ed-Daein”, adding: “The barrels fell near the hospital and the Bank of Sudan headquarters in the state.”
They pointed out that the previous airstrike completely destroyed “Ed-Daein” Hospital, a number of citizens’ homes, in addition to causing a large number of casualties.
Approximately (18) civilians, most of them women, including (6) medical personnel at “Ed-Daein” Hospital, were killed in an airstrike launched by the Sudanese Army’s warplanes last Tuesday. More than (20) people were injured as a result, including displaced persons in the displaced persons’ shelters near the hospital.
