“Hemedti” makes the final call !!

Anyone who looks with a critical and examining eye, not criticizing or praising, at the media and diplomatic line of the Rapid Support Forces and the speeches of its Commander, can only praise it for the steadfastness of its positions, principle and morality in this regard, the most recent of which is a tweet by “Hemedti” on his official page on the “X” platform -previously Twitter- on the 18th of August, in which he compared his Forces’ position on the negotiations with the position of the “Port Sudan Group,” as he called it, and i wholeheartedly agree with him on this accurate description.

The Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, started his aforementioned tweet with precise and clear terms, in which he stated: “It has become abundantly clear that Al-Burhan and his group lack any real commitment to negotiating or working for the future of Sudan or alleviating the suffering of its people, who face great challenges due to the war ignited by the Islamic Movement and its leaders in the Armed Forces.”

In order to prove the validity of his statement, he added: “At a time when our negotiating delegation is in Geneva and with a sincere desire to find a solution to the Sudanese crisis, the Port Sudan group is primarily focused on preserving its privileges and personal interests, which are inseparable from the interests of the former regime that bequeathed us wars, displacement and asylum.”

The man is acknowledging indisputable and undeniable facts. Everyone knows that the Port Sudan group has no interest in the Sudanese people’s situation, they don’t care about them, they’d rather focus on maintaining power over the narrow geographical area they still control and continue to loot resources and wealth, leaving the people of Sudan to face their inevitable fate of displacement, hunger, disease, poverty and death after they ignited war and put the public in its midst.

This is what the tweet acknowledged, saying that the party responsible for starting the war was the Islamic Movement and its leaders in the Armed Forces, and that Al-Burhan and his group lack any real commitment to negotiating for the future of the country or alleviating the suffering of the people.

Factually speaking, no one can say otherwise. Since Al-Kizan ignited the war, the regional and international community have come together to extinguish it while it’s still a spark, and the Rapid Support Forces agreed and responded, but this group continued to stand as a stumbling block in the way of achieving any progress in the negotiations, either by refusing to sit with the Rapid Support Forces, or by agreeing, then withdrawing at the last minute, or even by clashing with the Mediators, insulting and attacking them in the media in a ridiculous manner, as with the African Union and “IGAD”, sometimes with Saudi Arabia (Jeddah and chicken), by moving forward until reaching the stage of signing with the initials, as happened in “Manama” the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, then leaking the document to the media and aborting everything, or by evasion, as is happening now in the “Geneva” negotiations.

On the other hand, the Rapid Support Forces’ Command remained committed to negotiations as a basic and strategic principle that is clearly evident in its response to all regional and international initiatives aimed at stopping the war, until the remnants began to promote that this was an attesment of the RSF’s weakness, while they knew who was the weak, fleeing the battle and besieged party, and who is -currently- controlling more than (70%) of Sudan’s territory, imposing a cordon on what “Hemedti” referred to as the terrified generals, who fled the capital to control the fate of the people.

There is no doubt that the Rapid Support Forces won’t continue adopting this position indefinitely, as they may run out of patience soon, unless the other party shows a degree of responsibility, hence why the Commander sent a clear message stating: “We have numerous options, which we will be able to implement whenever it proves necessary.”

When the Rapid Support Forces begin to implement these options, they won’t return to negotiations again, but will go directly to the Red Sea. Then, no mediations or appeals will be of any use.
Therefore, the Rapid Support Forces issued a clear call to the Sudanese and members of the international community keen on achieving peace to take a decisive stance regarding the utter disdain shown by the leaders of the hijacked Military establishment for the suffering of millions of Sudanese people and for the issue of peace and stability in Sudan.

I think that this call is similar to the last call before the great invasion. It is the calm before the storm. At that time, no appeals and supplications will be of any use, and only the gun will produce results. This isn’t what we hope for, but it seems that the remnants, Al-Kizan and Army Commanders subordinate to them only understand such language in communication. It is no secret who is the eloquent and fluent party in this regard.
