“Tamazuj” condemns the Army aircraft’s bombing “Malit” in North Darfur
The Third Front, Tamazuj, which signed the Juba Agreement for Peace in Sudan, and joined the fight alongside the Rapid Support Forces against what it described as the “remnants” of the defunct regime within the Army, condemned the air strikes carried out by the hijacked Air Force of the “extremist terrorist Islamic Movement organization” against defenseless civilians in the “Malit” area, North Darfur state.
The Movement shared in a statement signed by its official spokesman, Othman Abdul-Rahman Suleiman, that these air strikes resulted in the death and injury of dozens of civilians, which confirms the failure of the “remnants’ Army” to adhere to the internationally recognized rules of military engagement.
The Movement considered the air strikes on the “Malit” area a clear violation of the Jeddah Declaration of Commitment to Protect the Civilians of Sudan signed on the 11th of May, last year.
The Movement called on the international community to include this systematic crime among the recurring Army violations against civilians.
