“RSF”: “Yasser Al-Atta” is a clown and we’ll rid the

Sudanese of the Islamist Clique peacefully or by war

The Rapid Support Forces pledged today, Thursday, to rid the Sudanese people of what they described as the “Islamic Movement Clique” peacefully or by war, and stressed that negotiation is still the solution to stop the war, which they described as “absurd.”

On Thursday, the head of the negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan, stated in an interview with “Sky News” Channel that the Islamic Movement is behind the Army’s intransigence and refusal to negotiate, seeking to continue the war in Sudan because stopping the war cuts off their path to power, which he described as “Terrorist Authority.”

He added: “We are ready to go to Geneva, but the decision to stop the war is in the hands of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Movement (Ali Karti) and not in the hands of the current Army leadership.”

Commenting on Yasser Al-Atta’s statements about the collapse of the Rapid Support Forces, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan shared: “What Yasser Al-Atta is talking about in regards to the collapse of the Rapid Support Forces is pure buffoonery, because the Rapid Support Forces currently controls more than (70%) percent of Sudan’s territory, while the Army continues to withdraw.”

He added, “The Rapid Support Forces are advancing on the ground every day, and have carried out military operations that are being studied in Military Academies and Institutes, despite the fact that (480) officers from the Regular Forces have withdrawn from the Rapid Support Forces and are now leading the Islamist brigades. The Army has yet to regain a single site that the Rapid Support Forces is controlling. Yasser al-Atta is selling illusions to the Sudanese people, but he cannot answer the question of, (Why would the Army withdraw from its sites if the Rapid Support Forces has no leadership ?) There are clear evidences and proof that the Islamists ignited the April 15th war, including the statements issued by their leaders at Ramadan iftars before the war broke out, the statements of (Al-Kabbashi), and the meeting held by (Ali Karti) in which the decision to ignite the war was made is evidence, and we demand an international investigation committee to ascertain who is responsible for igniting the war in Sudan.”

Regarding the relationship with the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “TAGADOM,” the head of the negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces stated: “We share TAGADOM’s views on the necessity of returning to the Civil Democratic path, establishing a unified professional national Army and achieving the slogans of the glorious December Revolution. This is what we have in common), denying what is being promoted about “TAGADOM” being the political front for the Rapid Support Forces, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan went on to explain: “We are putting forth efforts alongside all the Sudanese people to stop the war.”

And in regards to the implementation of the outcomes of the Jeddah Declaration as well as the withdrawal of the Rapid Support Forces from citizens’ homes, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan stated: “The hijacked Army is the one occupying civilians’ homes, hospitals and numerous sites, the organization of the Islamic Movement enabled Yasser Al-Atta to remain the Sudanese Army leadership, and Shams El-Din Al-Kabbashi withdrew from the (Manama) Agreement upon instructions from the head of the Islamic Movement, Ali Karti).

In response to a question regarding the source of the Rapid Support Forces’ armament, Staff Brig. Gen. Omar Hamdan explained: “We seized enough weapons from the Sudanese Army that will allow us to continue the fight for another hundred years, some of which is yet to be used, and the negligent generals in the Army don’t have the ability to stop the war, but we will rid the Sudanese people of the Islamist clique peacefully or by war.”
