Higher Representation !!

This accursed war reaped nothing but a panicked pulse, disappointment and a terrified heart !!
However, there is a wish looming over a cloud
People are waiting for it to rain peace.

The Sudanese humanitarian crisis, which continues to threaten thousands of Sudanese citizens with starvation, inducing the largest scale of international panic, with the world feeling guilt over being a partner in a crime that warns of the deterioration in the humanitarian situation, standing on the brink of an utter disaster.

Which, in turn, prompted the United States to start from the Jeddah negotiations’ end point, in which the Mediation announced in the last round of negotiations that it was waiting for both parties to the conflict to open humanitarian corridors for aid to be delivered to those in need.

As the situation deteriorated further and became extremely bad, fear began to creep into the White House, when three basic factors became clear to the American administration; the first of which was negligence on the part of the international community -admittedly- when more than one official, admitted to overlooking the Sudanese crisis, despite the fact that the crimes being committed required addressing.
The second factor is the insistence by both parties to the conflict on continuing the war despite the unprecedented humanitarian disasters it has produced.
The third factor is Al-Burhan’s urgent desire to rule, which made him indifferent to American pressure and insistent on hinting at building relations with Russia and Iran over the remains of the war casualties.

Although Russia has yet to take a serious step towards Al-Burhan and extend a helping hand, he continues to shake that particular -stick- that he had no real grip on, for it represents the false dream that allows him the luxury of clinging to power.

The humanitarian situation that has left millions of displaced persons and refugees in crowded refugee camps has made America realize its responsibilities towards the humanitarian crisis in the country, where if it doesn’t take clear steps to address, the American public opinion and institutions with direct influence on the White House will besiege it with open criticism, especially since the ruling party is preparing for elections, where it needs to further its advancement over the Republican counterpart.

That is why “Foreign Policy” magazine, citing (5) current and former American officials, stated that the Biden administration intends to launch a new initiative to end the war in Sudan, in which US Special Envoy for Sudan, Tom Perriello committed to convincing the Army and Rapid Support Forces to send high-level officials to the negotiations to hold discussions on the 14th of August. He added, “The warring parties should seize this opportunity to put an end to the fighting.”

The planned talks between the Army and Rapid Support Forces, arranged by the United States, and hosted by Switzerland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, because they are working to develop solutions to address humanitarian issues, a fundamental step that paves the way for a ceasefire and proposing a political solution, it will take place under the supervision and sponsorship of the two mediating countries in the Jeddah Platform.

We noted when the “Geneva” negotiation sessions with the Army and Rapid Support Forces delegations were concluded, that this isn’t the end of the “Geneva” negotiations and that the United Nations has made it a point to state that its conducting indirect negotiations.

This only goes to confirm the continuation of negotiations with each party and not necessarily bringing them together directly, especially since Ramtane Lamamra shared at the conclusion of the sessions: “We are waiting for what both parties have committed to.” and it seems that the commitment was for each party to push for higher representation, and what makes these upcoming discussions of great importance is this (higher representation), be it on the part of patronage and supervision, which is represented by Secretary of State, Antony Blinken and Washington’s ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas Greenfield.

The higher representation required by the United States of America for both warring parties means that they’re expected to seize this opportunity and follow Tom Perillo’s advice. Whoever demands that you seize an opportunity is perhaps warning you directly of an upcoming event that might not be in your best interest !!

#No_to_war

Demonstrations of mobilization under the auspices of Al-Kizan in Eritrea led to the expulsion of the Sudanese Chargé d’Affaires from there. Eritrea feels an embarrassment that may put it on the list of countries sponsoring the war in Sudan, if not terrorism.
