An Army garrison destroyed.. “Gash” invades “Aroma”
neighborhoods eliciting warnings to the displaced in “Kassala”
Today “Tuesday” the Gash River in Eastern Sudan destroyed a number of neighborhoods and areas in the “Aroma” locality, Kassala state, resulting in significant losses among citizens and the destruction of an Army garrison in the area.
Citizens told “Assayha” that the “Gash” River engulfed a number of villages and areas in the “Aroma” locality, Kassala state, causing major losses as a result of the floods that submerged citizens’ homes and property.
They added, the neighborhoods of the “Gash” Corporation “Kombo”, the Railway, “kartoon” neighborhood, as well as the Military Garrison were completely flooded with water, in addition to causing partial destruction of the “Aroma” market.
The citizens went on to explain that “Gash” River, which has rebelled against multiple attempts at taming over the past years, floods again, causing major losses in homes, property, and agricultural lands.
