A Hundred thousand Casualties of the War
The former Sudanese Prime Minister, Abdullah Hamdok, stated that the ongoing war “Caused devastation that exceeded comprehension and imagination… and is associated with the loss of more than 100,000 victims’ lives so far.” He pointed out “The destruction in infrastructure, private resources, and property.”
In an interview with “Asharq Al-Awsat”, Hamdok considered “The loss of trained personnel in all fields in Sudan as one of the disastrous effects of the war… and compensating for such loss will prove rather difficult,” noting that “Implementing the tasks of State re-establishment, especially the infrastructure, will be a requirement after the end of the war.”
