Why Cairo ? If the Jeddah Platform is
the key to the solution ?

We will never tire of stressing that the neighbor whose jealousy exceeds boundaries, isn’t morally qualified to intervene as a mediator in any political settlement because it has a record full of disappointments and disgraces in dealing with Sudan. A history of injustice behaviors, violations, hegemony, control, exploitation and neglect.
The Cairo conference is no more than a frivolous production organized by the Egyptian Intelligence Service through its agents, gathering elements for it, the majority of which are from the remnants of the former regime. Cairo will continue to fail in marketing and enforcing its agenda to preserve its historical and strategic ally, the Army, which has been a tool for Egyptian interference in Sudanese affairs, the hideous exploitation of resources, and the unjust agreements on the Nile river waters in addition to the occupation and usurpation of Sudanese lands in Halayeb, Shalateen and Abu Ramad.
It is the same country that built the dam at the expense of displacing the people of “Halfa” and turned “Wadi Halfa” into ruin and destruction, where the water buried every trace of civilization… Egypt, that continued to support military coups in Sudan and stand against popular revolutions… Not to disregard its repeated attempts to involve Sudan in its conflict with Ethiopia regarding the construction of the “Renaissance Dam.”
Despite the significant benefits that Sudan reaps, Egypt insists on linking Sudan to its position on the dam because it still views Sudan as Egypt’s backyard, while seemingly completely oblivious to the fact that it’s no longer a country with the capacity to exert any kind of threat.
This war, it seems, will be the end of their dreams of hegemony and controlling Sudan, and their attempts to continue the historical role no longer are and will never become a possibility.
This crisis revealed to the public the honest positions of friendly countries. Since the evacuation operations that took place in the earlier days of the war, it has been confirmed to us beyond any doubt that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered one of the trusted, unique and reliable partners compared to Pharaonic Egypt, which continued to act with clear arrogance even in humanitarian situations. Needless to say, the extent of mistreatment the Sudanese people continued to face despite the war conditions revealed the ugly face of the Egyptian Authorities.
However, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s presence made a significant impact through its humanitarian efforts and the provision of aid to Sudan without causing harm, rather simply effortlessly giving. The Kingdom hosting of the Jeddah Platform, which is considered an important breakthrough to be added to its growing efforts to stand with Sudan in this crisis and its firm desire to achieve a solution to the ongoing conflict in Sudan, in addition to reaching a political settlement that puts an end to the war and achieves peace and stability.
Frankly, this is what makes the Jeddah Platform the most important and most capable of achieving the aspirations of the Sudanese people in building an agreed upon and consensual national project.
The Saudi-American Initiative is the most neutral and the most capable of creating perceptions of a political solution in Sudan. As for Egypt and all of its platforms and conferences, they are no more than an addition to the series of historical conspiracies that it did, still does, and will continue to weave against Sudan and its people. Egypt is not trustworthy in regards to Sudan, because all of its initiatives are based primarily on horrific exploitation attempts of Sudan’s capabilities.
