Today “Tuesday” the citizens of “Al-Mazmoum” in Sennar state were taken by surprise when they learned that Army personnel had fled from the headquarters of the 66th Infantry Brigade, mere hours after the Rapid Support Forces seized full control over the headquarters of the 17th Infantry Division, the 165th Artillery Brigade, and the 67th Infantry Brigade in the capital of Sennar state, Singa
Video clips documented by the citizens of “Al-Mazmoum” showed the headquarters of the 66th Infantry Brigade stocked with weapons and equipment, and the Army members fleeing from the area.
The citizens of “Al-Mazmoum” area appealed to the Rapid Support Forces Command to secure the area after Army members from the 66th Infantry Brigade fled.
On the 30th of June, the Rapid Support Forces seized control of the capital of Sennar state, Singa. In addition to the headquarters of the 17th Infantry Division and the Army headquarters.
With its control of “Singa” and the strategic region of “Jebel Moya”, the Rapid Support Forces has firmly placed three states within its scope: “Blue Nile, White Nile, and El-Gedaref.”
