Alarming statistics: Hunger causes the death of hundreds

of Sudanese children

The Secretary-General of the National Council for Child Welfare in Sudan acknowledged that in recent months, more than (600) children died due to hunger.
He stated that hundreds of children died of hunger in the Darfur region and Al-Jazeera state.

The Secretary-General of the National Council for Child Welfare in Sudan added that, about (10,000) children suffered serious injuries and lost vital organs as a result of being hit by shells and explosives.

He reported that there are more than (300) registered reports of missing or kidnapped children, out of two million children in war zones who have been subjected to violations that include but aren’t limited to, lack of access to water, food, education, and health.

Human rights organizations shared serious reports of violations committed by the Sudanese Army’s warplanes, noting that thousands of children had been killed as a result of aerial bombardment in a number of Sudanese states since the war broke out in April of last year.
