Teachers Committee denounces exploitation
attempt in the Certificate Examinations
The Sudanese Teachers Committee denounced an attempt to exploit the educational process in the political and military ongoing conflict, with the inclusion of a paragraph related to the war in the Certificate of Primary Education Examinations in the Northern state.
The students of the Northern state were rather surprised when the Arabic language exam for the Certificate of Primary Education included a question about the so-called “War of Dignity” led by members of the former ousted regime and the Army against the Rapid Support Forces.
The spokesman for the Sudanese Teachers Committee, Sami Al-Baqir, shared in a press statement that what was mentioned in the Arabic language exams in the state, “Has nothing to do with the educational process,” and added, “It was an attempt to involve the educational process in the ongoing political conflict.”
He considered the ousted regime’s holdouts who took over the reins of the Ministries of Education across Sudan to be attempting to restore their ideology through exploiting the educational process.
