“Umma Party”: The Islamic Movement Army

The National Umma Party stated that the Islamic Movement Army insists on continuing the war despite the defeats and its deteriorating combat situation. The head of the Party, Maj. Gen. Fadlallah Burma Nasser, added that the Rapid Support Forces desires to achieve peace and stop the war, despite its control over the war zone, while the Armed Forces affiliated with the “Islamic Movement” are in a deteriorating combat situation, and yet they insist on continuing to fight.

Burma Nasser continued in an interview with “Independent Arabia”: (Its a first for me, to see a military party in a defeated situation and unable to resolve the war, taking a position in support of the continuation of the war, when a great opportunity to achieve peace and save face presents itself).
