“Al-Hadi Idris” urges International and Regional

Community not to recognize the Port Sudan govt.

The head of the Revolutionary Front, Al-Hadi Idris, urged the International and Regional Community to delegitimize the “Government of Port Sudan” and not recognize it, as well as to form a civilian government to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid as part of its tasks.

On Monday, in a speech before the “Founding Conference” of the Coordination-body of the Democratic and Civil Forces “TAGADOM” in “Addis Ababa” Idris considered the absence of legitimate authority to be the greatest threat to national unity.

He stated: “The Sudanese people must delegitimize the (Government of Port Sudan) and form a civilian government whose tasks include delivering humanitarian aid.”

Al-Hadi Idris accused the National Congress regime and the Islamic Movement of igniting the war in hopes of returning to power. He accused them of creating disastrous humanitarian conditions in Sudan, especially Darfur.
