The Army sells Red Sea to Russia
in exchange for weapons and ammunition
Yasser Al-Atta, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, revealed that Russia requested the establishment of a “Military Base” in the Red Sea in exchange for providing weapons and ammunition, and that agreements in this regard will be signed soon.
Al-Atta shared, in a statement to “Al-Hadath” that: “Russia requested a the establishment of a Military Base on the Red Sea in exchange for supplying us with weapons and ammunition,” and added that Army Commander-in-Chief, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan “Will sign agreements with Russia fairly soon.”
A Russian delegation had visited Port Sudan in recent days and held meetings with the de facto government in Port Sudan, and agreed to supply the Army with weapons and ammunition in exchange for implementing the Russian base agreement on the Red Sea coast.
