A significant presence at the “Sudan in the Heart of the UAE”

On Saturday, the Sudanese Social Club in the capital, Abu Dhabi, organized the “Sudan in the Heart of the UAE” festival, which included special events and activities, with the participation of a large and remarkable presence from members of the Sudanese community, to confirm the depth of the close fraternal relationship that brings together both countries and people.

The festival welcomed the participation of a number of other communities, to enjoy entertainment segments, artistic performances, and various Emirati as well as Sudanese heritage displays, in addition to activities and events specific to the customs and traditions of the Sudanese society.

The festival included a display of the most important Sudanese heritage books, popular handicrafts, and a heritage exhibition specializing in preparations for the Sudanese wedding, including gifts such as “Al-Fal, wedding baked goods, perfumes” among others, in addition to free medical examinations for the participants.

Mohammed Baha’ el-Din, President of the Sudanese Social Club in Abu Dhabi, praised the efforts of the UAE in standing by the Sudanese people at all times, which reflects the strength of the ties that bind the two fraternal countries and people, stressing that the white hands exchanged between the two nations remain a witness to the meanings of serenity and affection established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may the mercy of Allah be upon him.

He expressed: “The Emirates is in our hearts and Sudan as well. This has been a stable for the founding fathers and generations that followed. The glory of the Emirates of love and peace will last forever, and our motto will always be love, affection and friendship. Thank you to the government and people of the UAE for their brilliant stances, past, present and future. We were and still are in your hearts, and your country will remain a representation of safety and tenderness to us.”

While Dr. Shafee Al Neyadi, an expert in human development and family relations, emphasized the depth of the relationship between the people of UAE and Sudan, stating: “How wonderful it is for us to share a roof in a social family atmosphere, share in our joys and occasions, since the Emirates is in the heart of Sudan, just as Sudan is in the heart of the UAE.

Emirati artist Tariq Al Menhali entertained the festival visitors with a series of songs that received significant interaction from the attendees.
