Abdel Majid uncovers an imminent
attack by SAF and Movements on RSF
Journalist and former Minister in the National Congress government, Abdel Majid Abdel Hamid, uncovered information concerning arrangements being made by the Army, with the assistance of Armed Movements and the militias allied with them, to attack the Rapid Support Forces in El-Fasher, North Darfur state.
Abdel Majid Abdel Hamid shared in his blog post on his Facebook account that, the battle of El Fasher will be a critical one, and the attack launched by the Armed Forces and Movements paints a miniature picture of the course of the war against Rapid Support Forces.
Per his description, Abdel Hamid promised fierce battles, in the upcoming days that would make El-Fasher a graveyard for the Rapid Support Forces.
Abdel Majid Abdel Hamid represents one of the Islamic voices calling for war and its expansion, in addition to being one of individuals close to the decision-makers in the Islamic Movement in charge of steering the war.
Abdel Hamid’s speech reveals the intentions of the army, the mercenaries of the Movements, and the Islamist brigades to launch intensive attacks on the Rapid Support Forces in the upcoming days.
