Dengue Fever outbreak in Khartoum Bahri
The Bahri Emergency Room announced the registration of 470 cases of Dengue Fever in Khartoum Bahri, along with dozens of suspected cases in the region amidst a stifling humanitarian crisis.
The Emergency Room attributed the widespread of the epidemic to the absence of safe humanitarian paths to facilitate the entry of medicines and aid.
The doctors shared that the symptoms of Dengue Fever include; severe headaches, high fever, joint pain in addition to skin rashes, causing severe dizziness and lethargy, bleeding gums, stomach pain, blood in stool as well as rapid breathing or difficulties.
The Bahri Emergency Room explained that the “serious” complications of infection with the virus and its spread throughout the body include symptoms of nosebleeds, the appearance of red bruises on the skin, in addition to skin rashes.
