Hamdok calls for the formation of an
international military monitoring force in Sudan
The former Sudanese Prime Minister, who was ousted by the Army, Abdullah Hamdok, called for the formation of an international monitoring force for the country. In an interview with the “ Süddeutsche Zeitung ” newspaper in Berlin, Hamdok shared: “We need -at the very least- observers to monitor the distribution of aid. This requires fewer foreign soldiers. The United Nations should lead the operation, and the forces could come from African countries, for example.”
The former Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdullah Hamdok, called for the formation of an international monitoring force and sending military observers into the country to oversee the delivery of aid to those in need.
Hamdok stated in an interview with the “Süddeutsche Zeitung ” newspaper in Berlin that: “We need -at the very least- observers to monitor the process of distributing aid to those in need.”
Hamdok went on to explain that the formation of the monitoring force is necessary for aid to reach the areas where it is most needed.
