“Al-Burhan” ends his visit to Shendi abruptly
The Army Commander-in-chief, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan abruptly left the city of Shendi, which he had been visiting for the past two days, due to an attack by unknown suicide drones on the city, amidst loud explosions that shook all parts of Shendi, in the River Nile state.
The drones bombarded the Army “3rd Infantry Division” headquarters, and citizens heard a strong explosion from inside the division headquarters, which has understandably sparked panic amidst the city’s citizens.
Al-Burhan cut his visit to the city of Shendi short, and his visit stopped at inspecting “Al-Gikaika” Hospital minutes after the attack on the Army headquarters in Shendi. Al-Burhan was accompanied by the Governor of the River Nile state, Mohammed Al-Badawi, when they left for Port Sudan.
Eyewitnesses told Assayha that “four” drones targeted the headquarters of the “3rd Infantry Division” in the city of Shendi, while no party claimed responsibility for the attack
